Why divest?
To ‘divest’ means to withdraw your investments from a certain industry in order to make a strong statement. In our case, divestment is a tactic of last resort to revoke the social license of fossil companies that plan to burn 5x more carbon than would keep us at a ‘safe’ 2°C of global warming.
